enhance your privacy with Tracking Protection Lists
The gallery contains several Tracking Protection Lists created by organizations that want to help people make choices about their online privacy.
- How do Tracking Protection Lists work?
Some of the content, images, ads, and analytics that you see on the websites you visit are provided by third-party websites. While this content can provide value to both you and your favorite websites, this third-party content can be used to track your behavior across multiple sites. Tracking Protection Lists help enhance your privacy and help protect you from online tracking by blocking such 3rd party content.
- Managing Tracking Protection Lists
Click on the Internet Explorer 9 Tools button, click Safety, and select Tracking Protection... to access the Tracking Protection Lists you have installed.
To enable, disable or remove a Tracking Protection List simply click on the list and choose one of the options at the bottom of the Window.
When Tracking Protection is filtering content on a website, a blue do not track icon
will appear in the address bar. Click on the icon to turn off Tracking Protection for that website.
To add a Tracking Protection List from the Gallery, click Add. A dialog box will then appear prompting you to add the list to your browser.
